Vasco Dias @blog

another blog about stuff?? oh yeahh

About

Who am i?

My name is Vasco Dias, born in 1989.
Currently a student, finishing my Bachelor degree in Computer Science at Lisbon, Portugal (under Bologna Process).
My main language is Portuguese, so if you find errors in my writing please contact me to correct them.

I usually spend my time on the internet looking for stuff about anime, manga, linux, open-source, free software (as in freedom) and some tech, gadgets, etc.

And obviously cats :D.

Why another blog on the internet?

Well i think i may have something worth sharing after spending so much time reading and getting so many from the world i think it’s time go give back.

I’d like to use the blog as way to challenge myself in another way (comunicating, share points of view, discussions, etc), to help me establish deadlines for myself and my projects and to get me finally doing something instead of just talking about it.

I’m usually very lazy and i think this is a good way.

But, seriously dude, why now?

I started thinking about my life and although i say i love the linux world and all that community stuff i don’t really give anything back and i think it is time to really start hacking some code and contributing to the world (or not :)).

Another reason is that i’m finishing my studies and i really need to start thinking about the bigger picture and prepare myself to the “outside world”.

Hope to see you around.

    “after spending so many time”

Time is uncountable so we say “so much time” instead of “many” which is used for more concretely countable objects like… hats per se.

Please do write! I write about Linux and such often on my blog as well, feel free to check it out.
